basement chaos

This is the crazy mess that I had the pleasure of walking through each morning to feed our cats.  UGH!!! 
We have an unfinished basement, with a couple of separate areas.  As I shared in my profile the original structure of our home is an 1800's school house, but his section was added on in 1970 and looks as if I haven't done anything with it since then.


So I made a plan before school let out, and made a promise to myself that I would not just piddle my summer away.

...and guess what, I have done pretty darn well.
